From the album In The Dark
I leapt the wire,
Ran scorched into the summer flames.
The desert and the ocean blue,
My footsteps led me here to you.
And I bare the scares,
of torture and the making clean,
the tearing of my history.
No night will take what I have seen.
Will you drag me down.
Will you turn me out.
Will you let.
And I have no time.
No knowing when I'll be home again.
No way to look back past the crowds.
The bridges burned and the butchers stand.
